Welcome to Whaingaroa Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club.
Whaingaroa is the Maori and true name of the Raglan area.
Whaingaroa Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (WBJJ) is a martial arts community focused on proven training techniques where learning is safe and fun under the supervision of experienced coaches.
Our focus is to provide an atmosphere that encourages learning, the overcoming of ego, resilience, service and self-development.
BJJ is great for self defense, fitness and weight loss.
Visitors to Raglan are welcome to join as casual members.

COVID Alert Level 2
NEW MEMBERS
Must be double vaccinated within a minimum of two weeks from the date of the second vaccination. New members must present evidence of vaccination status prior to entering the dojo.
New members must be prepared to be interviewed to determine their approach to the virus e.g. use of the COVID app and the wearing of a mask.
All members must stay away from the mat as soon as they develop any respiratory illness e.g. sore throat, cold like symptoms, or cough.
Any member who has had a COVID test must stay away(which is what you are supposed to do regardless) until a negative result is received. We must look after each other.

Training times 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday nights
Open mat Training Sunday from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
Kids Classes 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm ($40 per term)
Adults Fundamentals 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Adults Advanced 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Adults first two weeks free then $40 per month
Training Venue – 94 Riria Kereopa Drive on ‘the stage’ at the Kokiri.
